Medium-density fiberboard is an engineered product that lacks the natural grain directionality of solid timber. As a result, it is highly isotropic, meaning it will not warp, cup, or split when subjected to ambient indoor temperature fluctuations, providing a perfectly straight profile over long spans.
The surface treatment and mud coating significantly reduce moisture vulnerability compared to raw substrate products. For typical modern indoor environments, it performs exceptionally well.
